A Note on Maximum Power

Maximum powers given on the kits is based on the amount of fuel flow in which the reducer(s) can handle. The injectors can handle a maximum of 60 HP per cylinder. So in an ideal installation, an 8 cylinder vehicle can handle a maximum of 480 HP, and a 10 cylinder vehicle a maximum of 600 HP etc.. In a practical sense, the maximum HP cannot be obtained in an installation because of additional pressure losses due to from lengths of fuel lines used. Although this is mostly a problem for very high power vehicles using the 300+ HP kit, fuel lines should be made as short as possible to achieve the highest efficiency in any system installation.

Propane Fuel Injection for Electronically Controlled Fuel Injected Vehicles

Not for carburated engines. Complications may occur with multi-valve throttle body engines such as BMW valvetronic and BMW M-series engines.

This kit includes everything needed to successfully convert your vehicle to propane except for the tank and any filler valves involved with the tank. Kit includes all parts and USB connections for laptop, software, full instructions with wiring diagrams and full automated calibration for easy setup.

SGI ECU VERSUS
Gas injection controller is the IV generation device fulfilling rigorous standards regarding fuel dosage and performance quality. Constructor's team has worked out control algorithms of LPG injectors based on control signals of gasoline fuel injectors where real- time corrections are calculated for every injector separately. Thanks to it is needless to prepare the map of LPG injectors (as it was in older constructions of controllers) and to use OBD emulators.
A great advantage of the controller VERSUS is the possibility of mapping of LPG injectors expenses
towards gasoline fuel injectors during calibration drive, which simplifies and shortens the time of device installation in a car and respectively raises the quality of control and reduces fuel consumption. It increases versatility of the controller assembling and calibration processes are irrespective of type and brand of a car as well as of used mechanical components (reducers, injectors). It is possible for assemblers, who are accustomed to older generations of devices to calibrate controller in a traditional way by manual modifying the composition of mixture.

Advantages of ECU VERSUS:
Supply of the LPG-AIR mixture to the cylinders in the optimal phase of the engine cycle - corresponding with
the cycle used by the injection of gasoline
Simplicity in service, configuration and diagnostics of the system
Compatibility with EOBD
The system can be adapted to fit engines with Sequential, Half-sequential and non sequential Injection system.
The system can be fitted to Turbo-charged engines
Properly calibrated system allows to get the same driving dynamic on LPG as on Gasoline
Sophisticated software. "Creating map" allows precise calibration of the engine supplying with LPG
Diagnostic/assistance tools in the software
Environment friendly - complies with exhaust emission standards EURO 2, EURO 3, EURO 4
Clear, simple, user friendly interface allowing for time efficient service.
Fully automatic operation including automated switching from LPG to petrol when the LPG tank is empty
Eliminates Backfire and possible consequential damage of intake manifolds, air filters and housing or flow
meters
Availability for 3,4,5,6,8 - cylinder Engines.

This propane injection system is added to the existing gasoline fuel system of your vehicle by adding injectors for propane to the intake manifold and using an advanced Electronic control unit to manage the propane injection. The existing gasoline system is used for cold startup and the system switches to propane when warm enough for heating the liquid propane to make it into a gas. When propane runs out, the system switches back to gasoline. This is a dual fuel system.

This kit is programmable to any fuel injected vehicle and will work with any vehicle up to 300hp using the included super reducer. If your vehicle requires a higher power kit, you will need 2 reducers. The only requirement is to match the amount of cylinders in the system. Installation is fairly simple and can be done in about 1-2 days, depending on mechanical working skills. Most mechanics should be able to install this kit for anyone who does not have the time or basic mechanical skills for installation.

Fuel Economy:

Gasoline and liquid propane are not the same in energy density, so it is like comparing apples to oranges when comparing the fuel economy of propane versus gasoline. However, to put a number out there, there is roughly a 10% loss in fuel economy when comparing gallons to gallons of both fuels. Propane burns much more efficiently than gasoline, but it has much less energy density than gasoline. For this matter, check the current price of propane from a gas company you can fill up from versus the price of gasoline at the pump and then increase the price of the propane by 10% for an apples to apples comparison of which is more cost effective.

Installation is fairly simple. Anyone with some mechanical experience can install this kit in a day or 2. The ECU programming is done through software run on a laptop and a simple test run for calibration.

About the ECU:

The most visible advantage of VERSUS controller is that it is quite easy to install and than to tune it. That is mainly due to sophisticated algorithms inside processor as well as easy software. As a result ECU VERSUS can read many parameters of the engine by itself and finally set up proper value automatically.

ECU VERSUS is the IV generation high quality device fulfilling rigorous standards regarding fuel dosage and performance. Our design control algorithms of GAS injectors are based on control impulses for fuel injectors where real time corrections are calculated for every injector separately.

Another great advantage of VERSUS
is its ability to map GAS injectors' based on performance of gasoline fuel injectors during the drive. This simplifies and shortens the time of device installation in a car and respectively raises the quality of control and reduces fuel consumption.

Installation and calibration processes are universal and irrespective of the type and brand of a car, as well as the mechanical components uses (reducers, injectors). For installers, who are accustomed to older generations of devices it is still possible to calibrate ECU VERSUS in a traditional way by manual modifying the composition of mixture.

A miniature console is the only element of the system installed inside the drivers cabin. This small unit allows the driver to observe the level of GAS in the tank, indicates the stages of employment of the ECU, and allows for a manual change in the employment of the controller.

Calibration of ECU VERSUS:

  • The software used for the ECU Versus has an option for the calibration of the system under a full load during driving. This allows for performance nearly identical to gasoline. The installer is asked to set up basic settings. All complicated feeding application processes are under micro-controller responsibility inside ECU.

  • Additional functions allows for self-diagnostics of the system and correction of problems when necessary.

  • Possibility of manual modification of the composition of the mixture within the range of -25% to + 25% and time of injection 1-20 ms.

  • The program contains information important for future servicing and warranty issues related to the unit, such as the size of the engine, size of installed injectors and the date of the installation.

  • ECU Versus is extremely versatile so that it allows for various configuration of the components making it suitable to be used with almost any car on the market.
